Gen. 17:11	Circumcision introduced
Gen. 17:17-22	Promise again renewed — Abraham pleads for Ishmael to stand before God as “son of promise”
Gen. 18:9	Promise again renewed
Gen. 21:1-2	25 years later — “God did as He had promised”
Gen. 21:9-20	Abraham rids himself of his own efforts — Sent Ishmael away. Note: Blessing to Ishmael
Gen. 22:1-2, 12	Abraham had learned something — Jehovah Jireh
Strong Covenant	Everlasting Covenant — Revealed in New Testament. Not terminated and replaced, but expanded into the fullness of its life. (Like a bulb becoming a flower — the flower is what the bulb was planted for.)

Male children were being offered as human sacrifices to the river Nile
She was unwilling to do so — floated the child on the river in a basket
Likely somewhat clever in that Pharaoh’s daughter may have been superstitious enough to view a child carried by the river as a “god”
Final Note: Read Hebrews 11:1-22 to have insight into the faith the men of this book exercised.
