Exploring faith for the first time? This is a great place to start.
The Bible is a big book, and it doesn’t tell you where to begin. Let me help. This is not a classroom, and you don’t need any background — we’ll go slowly, a little at a time.
The study unfolds in two main areas:
The Bible: The Bible can be confusing when you first undertake to read it. Our first thought would be to treat it as any other book, and start at page one, and read through it. If one attempts to do so, we soon discover that the Story seems to be disjointed. So step one will be learning how the collection of books that make up the Bible, actually fits together into an overall story.
The Story: Once we have an idea of how the Bible fits together, and the meta-story which emerges, You are ready for a lifetime of study. You will quickly discover that the Bible is an inexhaustible treasure of truth, and the story cannot ever be told completely. My goal will be to provide structure for your ongoing study.

Where to begin
A personal note
My aim for this site is to offer a cohesive framework for understanding the overarching Story of God contained in the Scriptures, which I believe to be divinely inspired and providentially preserved for our benefit. It is meant to be a place you can return to and grow with, and new material is added as the study develops.
You don’t have to be sure of that yet to begin. Come with your questions, relax, and let the Holy Spirit be your teacher. There’s no rush here.
