II CHRONICLES 1:1-9:31 SOLOMON’S REIGN
1:1-17 GOD’S GIFT OF RULERSHIP TO SOLOMON
God gave Solomon wisdom, and he followed through by using it in every
area except where it touched his walk with God! Despite his vast
understanding of wisdom, he was a fool in Proverbs for trying to
understand God by his own observation.

II CHRONICLES 10:1-36:23 THE KINGS OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH

being rejected.

36:1-23 The Captivity and Return
The writer has shown us the infinite patience and long-suffering of God
because of His promises to Abraham. In spite of the apostasy of Israel
and then Judah, He would keep His covenant; Messiah would be born
through the family of David. In a higher sense He keeps his covenant to
us through Christ. we walk in His kingdom, not by the works of
righteousness which we have done or by our personal spiritual strength,
but by the work of Christ and His life lived through us.
